Billy McDonald, "The Three Men on the Flying Trapeze" The above was the graphic for an article originally published in the January 1941 issue of Flying and Popular Aviation.  It gave the American viewpoint of Japanese Aviation in early 1941.  As we all know, that viewpoint view changed dramatically after the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.
